Sonya Emery develops insomnia shortly after moving from San Francisco to Manitou Springs with her younger sister and Aunt Addie. It’s only once she makes a dreamcatcher with her aunt’s aid that she begins to sleep again. But now she wakes to vivid memories from her past – scenes of her childhood that draw her closer to the truth of her parent’s deaths.

Meanwhile Sonya becomes more rooted to her present life, as her relationship with intense Vincent Foss develops maniacally. As Sonya begins to learn more about her own abilities, she also becomes aware of Vincent’s personal gift, and finally understands how deeply their lives are intertwined.
