My 4th of July was hot, giddy, and yummy. There were some unexpected surprises and a few little bumps, but in the end, I think everyone was happy and relaxed. And that’s how holiday is meant to be spent, right?

Smile, smile, smile.
I always find it intriguing how holidays bring people together. Events like Independence Day are especially interesting to me.
My typically-empty neighborhood lake park area was transformed into a melting pot of friends and family, everyone joining together for a festival of music and laughter. Maybe I’m just cheesy (OK – I am), but it makes me spin when vast amounts of people unite in celebration. I didn’t even mind the plastic Orange County folk!

Just a tiny cluster of the large lake.
Anyhow, I’m just rambling. I’m off to go spend my last few days with my Quebecer (Quibecian? Je ne sais pas!) friend before she departs back to Canada. Don’t pass out in the summer heat!
Sounds like you had a lot of fun
. I agree though it is awesome when people come together, esp. when they usually don’t
Have a fun time with her

It amazes me how something simple like the 4th of July brings people together. People from everywhere in the area.
It’s the one holiday I can count on for reminiscing. Even though it does remind me of my ex-boyfriend. It’s nice to know that I can spend it, every year, with my neighbors and our mutual friend, and I can watch their grandchildren grow up. I love it.
And I’m very happy that you had such a lovely holiday.
Now, enjoy your Dalia time!!

I almost passed out in the summer heat today! D: It was so unbearably hot and I went walking to the nearest gas station. It’s a no-no! Don’t do ittt.

What about Quebesque? XD Funny, that!
We don’t celebrate the 4th of July obviously, but it’s amazing how it brings people together. It’s cool that it can be celebrated in such an awesome way.
Ooh, how I wish it was warmer over here; it’s so so cold!

I think you’re looking for the word “Quebecois” for your friend from Quebec.
It’s pronounced “Quebec-kwah” (hopefully my phonetic skills aren’t too rusty).
Anyways, looks like you had tons of fun!
And yay for cheesy together-ness moments.

Hehe you definitely should ask; I’m curious too!
Haha it doesn’t snow in my town, but if I go for a four hour drive I see snow! That’s pretty much in the mountains though.
It has been getting really cold here though, about 11 degrees celsius in the mornings. It just rained, actually. XD It’s been sunny on occasions but still very very cold!

Haha I saw Michelle’s comment! I thought that was pretty accurate. XD Quebecer. XD Which Firefox tells me is wrong. GRR! XD
I love animals too but this cat was so evil hehehe. It didn’t look like a nice one either. :S I guess seeing it poop wasn’t the greatest experience, lol. We come across a lot of poop in our garden but we didn’t see the animal do it, hahah.

Yeah… I’ve been through things like that for many times.
I think the whole world is going crazy about MJ’s funeral *sighs* I don’t even care. Well, I’m hating MJ now for making internet really slow.
Just kidding :/

Wow Heather, you seemed to have a wonderful time. It’s always seem quite shocking when a community comes together for holidays or an event and never fails to amaze me either. (:
You really do live in a amazingly beautiful place.
And when I low whistled I thought hookah was another name for marijuana. My friends calls it hookah, but then I checked and saw hookah is actually something else too. LOL. It wasn’t sarcasm at all, just shock. But then I realised what you meant.
It actually made me smile when you said I am wise and that you enjoyed my blogs so much. I have actually thought about that in depth as well (What makes people wise?). I think wisdom is nothing but age, and age is nothing but experience. And I think I just got a bit more experience that people at my age at this present moment of time hence exuding the personality trait of ‘wise’. LOL, if that makes sense. I hope it does.
I love making lists too, they kinda complete me in a sense, having lists giving me some sort of goal to work towards, because then I always know I am not wasting life.
Oh and baking isn’t my thing because I just don’t think I am fantastic at it at all. I am just average. :/ I will try it again and if I feel better about baking then I will most likely adopt it within my personality. But for now, no. I suck at it. apart from fairy cake muffins, I pretty much rule at those. huhaha. (:
And finally, *apologises for long comment*, I think sibling love is quite a weird thing. I mean there is romantic love, and adoring respective love for one’s parents. But Sibling love is what exactly? It’s not quite friendship which you share with your friends because you feel it’s more than that, but it’s not romantic love because you don’t want anything like that to tar it, because you know it’s better than that. Like on a higher plane of existence. What is it then? That’s why I always think about my brothers and how much they mean to me. And what exactly do we have? I mean, what do you think? I know you focus on sibling love within your books so you must surely have a most concentrated idea that I do, Heather?
P.S. I am sure our paths will cross one day and when they do I will hug you because you are a brilliant human being. (:
